General Hideki Tojo was the prime minister of Japan during World War II. He was a very aggressive man; he believed in dictatorship and total obidience. After he failed to improve relations with the US, he commanded war and to attack Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Tojo gradually started taking over Japan, and like Adolf Hitler, he made himself commander in chief. Japan surrendered the war to impede any further destruction. After WWII Tojo was arrested and sentenced to death because he had caused many of the problems Japan had. Tojo was hung on 23 December 1948.
